I recently learned about a new research project that is dedicated to understanding which effects digital concert experiences can have on spectators. It aims to create a new data set on the issue by conducting various studies.
The interdisciplinary research team consists of scientists from Zeppelin University, University of York, Psychiatric University Hospital UPD Bern, Max Planck Institute for Empirical Aesthetics, and RADIALSYSTEM V GmbH.
The investigated topics are:
- Whenever and how I want: on demand stream
Study running from January 2021 until April 2021 - Together with others: The Concert Stream as a Social Event
Study running from January 2021 until April 2021 - Know More: Concert Talks
Study running from January 2021 to April 2021 - Fully Involved: The Virtual Reality Concert
Study running from January 2021 to April 2021 - New Friends and Old Acquaintances: The Digital House Concert
Study running from May to June 2021 - Research Live: The Laboratory Concert

For now, a preliminary study is underway. You can fill out a survey already.
